We see this wedding as an opportunity to bring everyone we love together. The wedding ceremony is set for 3:00pm on September 17, 2011, at Fort Ebey State Park on Whidbey Island Washington. We’ll have some activities organized for Saturday – hikes, games, etc – for anyone who’s out there early. See the location + travel section for maps and location information for all of the weekend’s events and accommodations.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
Rehearsal Dinner Doctor's House, Fort Casey Inn 6:00 - 9:00 pm The Doctor's House is located at the end of Fort Casey and is a very short walk from all accommodations. We'll be eating outside so please dress casually and bring some warm layers. Dinner will be followed by a beach bonfire, weather permitting.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17
At Your Leisure... We encourage everyone to have fun and relax around Ebey's Landing and Fort Casey. There's plenty of fun activities and places to explore including playfields (slingball, frisbee, hoops...) the beach, hiking trails, and the local town of Coupeville. We will have some guided hikes as well as a tour of Camp Casey led by a local historian.
Sack-Lunch pickup Picnic Tables, Fort Casey Beach 11:30 - 12:30 pm Sack Lunch!! Served at the picnic tables located on the southwest corner of the Camp Casey field. Please stop by to pick up lunch or sit a while and visit.
Wedding Ceremony Fort Ebey State Park (Guests meet at Fort Casey) 3:00 pm The ceremony will be held outside at Fort Ebey State Park. Please plan on meeting at Garrison Hall at Fort Casey at 3:00 for transportation to the wedding site. Due to limited parking, we will provide special transportation for all guests to the ceremony, from the ceremony to the reception, and from the reception back to Fort Casey.
The ceremony will be held on a bluff, it could be windy so please dress for the weather and bring a change of shoes for the ladies in heels.
Reception Crocket Barn Following Ceremony Dinner, drinks, music, dancing.. in a barn! A barn with bathrooms. Transportation will be provided to and from the ceremony.
After Party Toby's Tavern, Coupeville 11:00 pm - ? The young and/or energetic ones can continue on to Toby's Tavern in Coupeville. Toby's will be staying open just for us and we will provide round trip transportation between Toby's and Camp Casey.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
Checkout Check out from Fort and Camp Casey is 10:00 am, set your alarms people!
Sunday Brunch Doctor's House, Fort Casey Inn 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Please come by and say hello to the newlyweds and grab a quick (or long) breakfast before you leave town. The Doctor's House is located at the west end of Fort Casey, a short walk from all accommodations.
